KamAZ 6560 is a heavy SUV with an 8 to 8 wheel arrangement. It is designed for the installation of specialized equipment. It is used on roads that are designed for an axial load level of not more than 100 kN. KamAZ 6560 was first presented during the ninth International Auto Show, which took place in 2005 in Moscow.

He was later demonstrated at the IDEX arms exhibition, which was held in Abu Dhabi. The presentation of the new car in Asia was logical, since the Asian region was the most important for the export of KamAZ 6560

Design Features KamAZ-6560 The design of this model of a heavy truck has become completely original in the line of the Kama Automobile Plant, which has no analogues. All the main components, assemblies and working systems of KAMAZ-6560 (from the engine and transmission to axles and suspension), as well as the frame, were designed taking into account the most serious requirements for the operation of an off-road truck. All the features of using the machine in the harsh conditions of the northern climate have been taken into account. To guarantee maximum stability indicators on corners, the KAMAZ-6560 is equipped with a stabilizer bar. And to provide the best opportunities when driving on rough terrain, there is a locking center differential. The car is equipped with pneumatic brakes with 420 mm diameters of brake drums. The powerful KamAZ-6560 frame with continuous reinforced spars was created taking into account extremely stringent requirements for strength under the conditions of using the full capacity of the vehicle's load capacity, in any, including extreme, conditions.

KamAZ-6560 engine The KamAZ-6560 truck is equipped with the so-called “long-stroke” diesel engine of the KAMAZ-740.50–400 brand - with turbocharging and with intermediate cooling of the charge air, with improved power characteristics and a torque of 160 kgcm. This is a four-stroke eight-cylinder diesel engine, with a V-shaped, at an angle of 90 °, the location of the working cylinders; Overhead, liquid cooled motor. The fuel equipment of the engine is from Bosh, a modern Common Rail injection system was used, with two-stage injection of diesel fuel into the system through a fuel pump, and injection through electronically controlled nozzles.

The KAMAZ-6560 cab The KAMAZ-6560 is equipped with a standard unified 3-seater KAMAZ cab equipped with a berth. Together with the restyling of other truck models of the Kama Automobile Plant, the appearance and equipment of the KAMAZ-6560 cab changed. But on this truck, the cabin, of course, is located very high, and getting into it is not easy, especially without the corresponding habit: the driver's door is located at a height of almost two meters. The interior is quite comfortable, especially for a truck of this class. The necessary adjustments are provided to the steering column and driver's seat. The cabin heater is characterized by high power and the ability to create a comfortable microclimate quickly and efficiently. Electrically adjustable and heated rear-view mirrors are also standard. The KAMAZ-6560 cab is equipped with multi-layer thermal and noise insulation. In the working position, the cab is securely fixed to the chassis with two hydraulic locks. In order to gain access to the engine, the driver needs to tilt the cab forward. As standard, the car is equipped with a Russian standard tachograph with a cryptographic information protection unit.

Transmission and axles KamAZ-6560 The truck is equipped with a hydromechanical gearbox with automatic control. The number of gears is 16 (8x2). Gearbox manufacturer - ZF, model: ZF 6HP 602.
