KAMAZ SUMMED UP THE RESULTS OF PRODUCTION IN MAY

In the «shortened» May 2021 (14 working days), the divisions of КAMAZ PТC continued to implement the production plan, following the results of five months significantly ahead of last year’s figures, in particular, for the production of machine kits – by 26 percent.

The automobile plant, the finishing enterprise of KAMAZ, produced in the past month 2,712 machine kits (for the same period last year – 2,465 units), and since the beginning of the year – 16,970 units (+26% to SPLY – 13,454 units).

The engine plant and CUMMINS KAMA JV produced and delivered to the main assembly line of KAMAZ and its other consumers 3,032 engines and power units (SPLY – 2,961 units). From the beginning, they produced 18 562 motors for cars and other vehicles (+24% to the same period last year – about 15 thousand units).

In May of spare parts sold for the sum of 2.5 billion rubles (SPLY – 1.76 billion rubles), for five months of the year – by 12.42 billion (+38% to the same period last year – to 8.95 billion).

KAMAZ WON THE COMPETITION FOR THE SUPPLY OF BUSES FOR MOSCOW

KAMAZ has signed a contract for the supply of almost five hundred NEFAZ city low-floor buses for the needs of the State Unitary Enterprise MOSGORTRANS with the provision of service and repair services for seven years.

Under the terms of the signed contract, KAMAZ is to deliver 473 large-capacity NEFAZ buses to Moscow-5299-40-52, including 25 units with an instructor driver’s cab. It is planned that 310 buses will be available to the customer by the end of the year; the remaining 163 units will be transferred during the first quarter of 2022. This contract also provides for the provision of service and repair services for seven years from the date of delivery of the buses.

Recall, KAMAZ began to supply buses to the Russian capital from the end of 2018. For 2.5 years, the company delivered 1,540 buses assembled at NEFAZ, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in Bashkortostan.

«Moscow places high demands on the vehicles supplied to the capital’s fleets. It is gratifying that our products fully satisfy such a demanding customer. And the next contract signed is a confirmation of this», – said Samat Sattarov, Director of Passenger Transport at KAMAZ.

Restyled low-floor NEFAZ bus-5299-40-52 it was put into mass production in 2018. It is designed to meet modern requirements for passenger safety and comfort. The exterior and interior of this model has been completely updated. The bus has a bright, spacious interior with a wide storage area, comfortable handrails with driver call buttons and USB-chargers for gadgets. Much attention is paid to the equipment of the driver’s workplace: the bus is equipped with an air suspension seat, an ergonomic instrument panel, and a monitor with a multifunctional LCD display.

In accordance with the technical task of the State Unitary Enterprise MOSGORTRANS, the bus is additionally equipped with validators, media panels, and a system for monitoring the temperature in the cabin, light and rain sensors. For the comfort of passengers, there is a climate control system and double glazing. The bus is equipped with buttons for the address opening of doors by passengers. To increase security, a complex of 13 internal and all-round video cameras, face recognition cameras is installed. The bus has 31 seats and a specially equipped seat for people with disabilities.

KAMAZ WILL DELIVER A LARGE BATCH OF ELECTRIC BUSES TO MOSCOW

KAMAZ has signed the next fourth contract for the supply of electric buses to the State Unitary Enterprise MOSGORTRANS.

Under the terms of the contract, KAMAZ will supply Moscow with 350 KAMAZ-6282 electric buses. The fourth contract also includes 15-year maintenance of the transferred innovative equipment. As before, electric buses will be delivered in batches: the first 150 units will be delivered to Mosgortrans by July 31, 2021, and another 200 KAMAZ electric buses will be delivered by December 31, 2021. The total period for the provision of services (including maintenance of equipment) is until November 30, 2036.

It is noteworthy that under the fourth contract, KAMAZ electric buses assembled directly in the Russian capital will be delivered for the first time.

Recall that at the end of April this year, the official opening of the assembly production of KAMAZ electric buses took place in Moscow, on the territory of the Sokolnicheski Car Repair and Construction Plant. The large-scale project is funded by KAMAZ, and Moscow, for its part, supported it with a grant and provided a platform. This made it possible to optimize the production of KAMAZ electric buses, reduce the delivery time, assembly and maintenance of innovative electric vehicles, as well as significantly reduce logistics costs. It is planned that the first electric buses assembled in Moscow will go on the line in May.

According to the results of last year, sales of KAMAZ electric buses increased by 18% to 200 units, in 2021, the production of innovative transport is planned to double. «KAMAZ continues close cooperation with Moscow and does not stop there, continuing to improve electric buses and expand the model range of passenger electric transport, – said Samat Sattarov, Director of Passenger Transport at KAMAZ PTC. – This year, the public is presented with a low-floor electric bus of a particularly large class (the so-called «garmoschka») KAMAZ-6292, which is planned to be put into mass production next year. This model was developed by our engineers on a special order of the State Unitary Enterprise MOSGORTRANS and designed taking into account the experience of operating the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus, which is delivered to Moscow in 2018».
