KAMAZ PTC is taking part in the XIV International Economic Forum Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2023, which is held in Kazan on May 18–20. The company demonstrates a number of exhibits that are in demand in the field of commercial and passenger transportation.
The KAMAZ-54901 truck tractor of the K5 generation earned customer loyalty in a short time and is especially in demand in the road freight transportation market. The high demand for this model is due to a number of undeniable advantages. Thus, the truck is equipped with a new KAMAZ-910.15-450 (Euro 5) engine with a working volume of 12 liters, a capacity of 450 hp, and a torque of 2300 Nm. The use of modern high-tech design solutions made it possible to increase the service interval to 120,000 km, and the engine life to 1.5 million km, while reducing fuel consumption by 10% compared to the truck of the previous generation. The truck tractor is also equipped with a new 12-speed automatic transmission, which has a low noise level, high efficiency and reduced fuel consumption.
Of particular note is a modern, spacious cab with a flat floor and two berths providing a higher level of comfort for the driver’s work and rest, which reduces his fatigue and, as a result, increases the safety of cargo delivery. Also the cab has a multimedia system with a 10-inch touch screen display with the functions of a navigator, radio, public address system, music playback, online or offline video viewing, control of vehicle parameters, control of the cabin heater and preheater.
Also the visitors of KazanForum-2023 can see the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus, one of the high-tech models in the line of passenger vehicles, which the company has been producing since 2018. To date, the leading Russian automaker has delivered more than 800 electric buses to Moscow. At the end of March, a contract was signed for the supply of another 1,000 electric buses to the capital of the country, which will be completed by the end of 2024. This is the largest contract of its kind in Europe.
Among the main advantages of the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus over a bus is environmental friendliness, over a trolleybus – maneuverability and the ability to travel on any street, without an overhead line. It is equipped with modern equipment, including dual-zone climate control for the driver and passengers in the cab, advanced telematics and media systems, and free Wi-Fi. The interior of the electric bus is equipped with media screens with route information, USB slots for charging mobile devices. The total capacity of the electric bus is 85 people, including 35 seats. The low level of the floor is adapted for passengers with limited mobility, in the middle platform there is a storage for wheelchairs. The electric bus is distinguished by noiselessness and smooth riding. The maximum speed is 70 kph, the range on fully charged batteries is up to 100 km. To fully charge the battery at the ultra-fast charging station, the vehicle needs only 10-20 minutes in city cycle mode.
It should be noted that the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus is already familiar to the residents of Kazan, where the XIV International Economic Forum Russia – Islamic World is being held these days: in 2021, the vehicle was handed over to the city for test operation. During three months of testing, the KAMAZ electric bus traveled more than 14,000 km and transported about 38,000 passengers who left positive feedback about their trip on the new type of public transport. In addition, the KAMAZ electric bus was tested in other cities of Russia: Belgorod, Sochi, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Perm, Ufa, Lipetsk. At the end of 2022, the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus with improved performance became the winner of the All-Russian competition 100 Best Goods of Russia and received a special prize Pride of the Fatherland.
Taking into account modern realities, today KAMAZ cargo and passenger vehicles are manufactured on a sanction-resistant component base: domestically produced auto components and components from friendly countries are used, which is important for the further operation of vehicles and the stable operation of consumer company fleets. The issues of import substitution were timely resolved at the enterprise. KAMAZ continues to supply modern vehicles to Russian regions and provides quality service, contributing to the implementation of priority national projects and ensuring the technological sovereignty of the country.
KAMAZ vehicles are demonstrated at the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia”, which is taking place at the convention and exhibition complex of the National Exhibition Company “Uzexpocentre” in Tashkent on these days.
