KAMAZ SUMMARIZED THE PRODUCTION RESULTS OF FEBRUARY

The production divisions of KAMAZ summed up the results of February 2022 in terms of the production of marketable products: the figures exceeded last year’s ones by 12–14 percent.

For 19 working days, 4,052 vehicle sets rolled off the lines of the truck assembly plant, the company’s final production enterprise, which is 12.4% more than in the same period last year (3,606 units). Since the beginning of the current year, 7,375 vehicle sets have been produced (+35% to 5,449 units of the same period last year).

The engine plant and the Russian-American joint venture Cummins KAMA, which is part of the KAMAZ production run, manufactured and delivered to the automobile plant and other consumers 4,443 engines and power units (+14% to 3,895 units of the same period last year). Since the beginning of the year, 8,169 units of the main products of these enterprises have been produced (+33.5% to 6,121 units of the same period last year).

The production of spare parts for vehicles and their shipment to consumers is gradually increasing. In February, the total volume of their supplies amounted to 2.86 billion rubles (+23.8% to 2.31 billion rubles of the same period last year), since the beginning of the year – 4.65 billion rubles in all (+24.6% to 3.73 billion rubles of the same period last year).

KAMAZ ELECTRIC BUS IS PRESENTED IN PERM

Perm hosted an official presentation of the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus to undergo test drives on the city streets.

The presentation was held in the presence of Dmitry Makhonin, Governor of Perm Krai, Andrey Alyakrinskiy, Minister of Transport of Perm Krai, Aleksey Dyomkin, Mayor of Perm, Samat Sattarov, Director of Passenger Transport of KAMAZ PTC. The test operation of the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus on the roads of Perm will last two months. The innovative transport means will run along 10.7 km long Route #50 Gusarova – Station Perm-2. During the whole term of testing, the operating company will be assisted by experts who arrived in Perm from the service department of KAMAZ PTC to organize high-quality and timely maintenance of the electric bus.

“The KAMAZ-6282 electric bus is comfortable, noiseless, spacious, and I have had a chance to check it out for myself,” said Dmitry Makhonin, Governor of Perm Krai, after a ride on the innovative vehicle. “The electric bus can travel about 50 km per charge whereas the route is 10.7 km long. To charge a battery requires 8-10 minutes on average, full charge takes 24 minutes. The electric bus has arrived for a test period so far. We’ll see how it will work at sub-freezing temperatures, check for ease of maintenance, and analyze passengers’ feedback.”

“Exactly this model – KAMAZ-6282 – is called-for in Moscow nowadays. The design of the tested prototype of the KAMAZ electric bus delivered to Perm wasn’t changed. The body is painted blue and has a traditional slogan which can be translated from Russian as “This bus is electric”. Definitely, for subsequent deliveries under the contract, the electric buses will be made in accordance with the buyer’s design layout,” said Samat Sattarov, Director of Passenger Transport of KAMAZ PTC, in his turn. “We hope that the citizens of Perm, like Muscovites, will duly appreciate all advantages of this vehicle.”

It should be noted that the Agreement on Cooperation stipulating the trial operation of the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus in Perm was signed between KAMAZ PTC and Perm Krai last year during the Transport Week in Moscow. The document was signed by Samat Sattarov, Director of Passenger Transport of KAMAZ PTC, and Andrey Alyakrinskiy, Minister of Transport of Perm Krai. The cooperation is focused on road traffic safety and environmental protection upgrade, arrangement of comfortable and safe conditions both for passengers and for drivers. Besides, it provides for the development of service and other infrastructure to ensure efficient operation of the transport system in Prikamye.

KAMAZ SUMS UP FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR 2021 ACCORDING TO RAS

KAMAZ PTC has published financial results for 2021 according to RAS. Because of the company’s activities in the reporting period, a net profit of 4 billion 056 million rubles was received.

The revenue of KAMAZ PTC by the end of 2021 amounted to 248 billion 389 million rubles, exceeding the same indicator of 2020 by 34% (compare with the same period of the previous year – 185 billion 868 million rubles). The revenue growth is due to the dynamics of truck sales in the domestic market, the growing demand for the first model of the newest line of K5 – KAMAZ-54901 trucks and the increase in sales of passenger transport (buses, electric buses). Because of the company’s activities, a net profit of 4 billion 056 million rubles was received, which is 2.6 times more than in 2020 (compare with the same period of the previous year – 1 billion 545 million rubles).

In 2021, KAMAZ held a confident leadership in the Russian truck market with a GVW of over 14 tonnes: according to last year’s results, the company’s share in the Russian market achieved 44%.
